Open With Microsoft Picture Manager
- Right click on the image that you would like to resize.
- From the menu that pops up go to “Open With” and choose “Microsoft Office Picture Manager”.
Resizing the Image
(The steps below correspond to the yellow numbers in the images.)
- Step 1: Although not essential, this first step can be used to save you a lot of time. By making use of the zoom functionality, you can quickly find out how small you would like the image to be. For example, by reducing the image from 100% to 25%. If you are satisfied with the preview, make a note of the zoom percentage.
- Step 2: Click on “Edit Pictures”.
- Step 3: In the edit panel, under change picture size, click on “Resize”.

- Step 4: Under the resize tab, click on the percentage option.
- Step 5: Set the size that you want your image to be – as illustrated above, the image has been set to 25%.
- Step 6: Under size setting summary, you can compare the “original size” verses its “new size”.
- If you are happy with the changes and you are ready to save your image use “File > Save As” rather than “Save”- so that you do not overwrite the original image.
