Eduka is led by a team of people whose knowledge of "web stuff" has been developed through their passion for what the web can achieve.
You might think the boss gets to call the shots, but Ashul is usually getting bossed around by the rest of us. He knows his stuff though, and it's he who makes us go the extra mile, to make sure your web solution is perfect. He is our moral compass and he looks after your Web Consulting and Custom Application needs.
Nicolas is one of those people who dot every t and cross every i... or something like that. He also brought the best birthday cake to work this year. Nicolas specialises in internal and external business development and strategic planning.
Kara is the main client contact for the majority of our projects. Often when she gets off the phone to one of our clients she stops being polite and helpful, and becomes a terrifying authority figure reminiscent of Roald Dahl’s Miss Trunchbull. (It’s ok, she knows we wrote this). Her role is to understand your requirements and convey them to us...nicely.
Deb somehow manages to combine her love of spicy food and shiraz with the ability to rock up to work on time every day. Well, we assume so, since she works from Canada these days. Deb whips up fantastic designs and checks the code to make sure it is accessible and standards compliant.
Inaie, like Kara, knows how to be scary when necessary. This scary gene has contributed to her becoming our project manager. She curbs her murderous instincts by eating the heads off Tiny Teddies all day long. She keeps the developers on their toes and makes sure that work is scheduled efficiently.
Vanessa is nuts - she willingly attends triathlons on a regular basis. Of course, being nuts means that she is also extremely creative, so her web designs are fantastic. Working with Deb, she builds visually appealing websites and other interfaces that get your message across to your staff and customers.
Karuru is the one who keeps everything ticking. Without him, our sites wouldn’t be up to date, clients wouldn’t have anyone to fix their problems and the phones would never get answered. Gee, we hope he doesn’t quit.
Developers are an interesting bunch; they work hard all day and then go home to "play" with new programming languages and technologies. Tim especially loves doing this, so he’s become our research guru as well as one of our web developers.
Every year we take on one or two interns or travellers. For the last few years they have all been French. What can we say – we think the accent is cute. Plus the French seem to have excellent training institutions, so we are always pleasantly surprised at how useful these interns are. Florian backs up our development team.
Ashley sits quietly in the corner working with data, so nobody really understands what he does. We gather he crunches numbers all day until they finally tell us something interesting, tangible and useful.
